Well, It's that time of year again! Rome, the pinnacle of ancient civilization, was officially "born" on Sunday. This is, of course, the mythological founding date; it would be impossible to actually name a specific day that work on Rome first began. Anyway, to celebrate we had a party in Latin class and made birthday cards, which we then hung up on the wall in our cafeteria. It was pretty fun.
And how old is Rome, you ask? Well, like I said, the date differs, but it seems that Rome is about 2,766 years old. It looks pretty good for an old lady, doesn't it?
